Genins take these exams to see if they are strong and skilled enough to become the next rank up, Chunin. These exams consist of; A written Exam, The forest of Death - where you get the opposite scroll you have from another team and get to the tower in the center of the forest within three days, and the final stage match.
Where Chunin see if they are able to become the next rank higher, Jonin. The Jonin exams are very similar to the Chunin exams, except there is no written section.
